Nana's Garden

Nana's Garden
Quilter: Phyllis Schrag
Size: 68 x78 inches (Double/Full Size)
Description: Nana’s Garden, a pattern created by Eleanor Burns, is a scrap quilt of magnificence. Using the scraps Nana saved to cut into 1-inch finished squares was something Nana would have done and for which she saved them. - How wonderful it is to think of fun at Nana’s house. Whatever you call her, Nana, Grams, Grammy, or Grandma, being in her care evokes wonderful memories. I carefully cut the pre-washed scraps, sewed them together to frame new neutral fabric squares, put them on point and machine quilted them in a circular feather motif. Made of the best quality 100% cotton fabric, and then sandwiched in the middle with 80/20 cotton-poly batting gives this traditional quilt pattern new life. It is a completely washable.
This unique yet old-fashioned quilt was created in a smoke-free, pet-free studio. - At the time of purchase, I will enclose a gift card with an envelope detailing how to document, preserve, and care for your quilt. The back of the card features a quilt blessing printed inside a scroll. - There is a place at the top of the scroll on which you can write the name of the receiver if you intend it as a gift.
Technique: Machine Pieced. Machine Quilted.
Fabrics: 100% Cotton
Batting: Quilter's Dream Batting - 80/20 Poly/Cotton
Care: Machine wash in cool temperatures with a mild detergent. Tumble dry or block on towels to air dry. Avoid harsh sunlight, as it may cause fading.

English Garden
Quilter: Barbara Buck
Size: 94 x 114 inches (Queen or King Size)
Description: I prefer to hang my quilts for pictures but the weather would not cooperate, so this quilt is shown on a queen-size bed. It would also work well on a king. It is made using the Butterfly Forest collection by Ann Lauer for Benartex. I have looked at the pictures on my desktop, iPad and iPhone and just want to note that the background fabric is a really pale green. The other colors seem more true. Some Storm at Sea and Chain of Squares piecing create this beautiful quilt. The butterflies at the top and bottom are machine-appliqued. The back of the quilt is a print that coordinates with the front. I quilted an all-over feathered flower design. I always use double-fold French binding for durability. It is machine-sewn to the front and hand-sewn to the back.
I will gladly, at no charge, hand sew a personalized, computer-generated label to the back of any of my quilts.
Technique: Machine Pieced. Longarm quilted.
Fabrics: 100% Cotton.
Batting: 100% Premium Quality Cotton.
Care: For the first wash, machine wash in cold water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar to set the colors. Subsequent laundering should be done in cold water with a mild detergent. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Complete care recommendations will be included with purchase.

Serenity
Quilter: Barbara Buck
Size: 96 X 96 inches (Queen Size )
Description: I have always loved quilts that create a secondary pattern when the blocks are combined. Pinwheels always make me smile so this was appealing to me. I previously used the floral fabric in my "Walk About" quilt but decided to use fabric with a lighter value in this quilt, which really softened the floral. I always use double-fold French binding for durability; it is machine-sewn to the front and hand-stitched to the back. The back is a tan tone-on-tone floral and I quilted an all-over feather pattern.
I will gladly, at no charge, hand sew a personalized, computer-generated label to the back of any of my quilts.
Technique: Machine Pieced. Longarm Quilted.
Fabrics: 100% Cotton
Batting: 100% Premium Quality Cotton

Splendid Hues

Splendid Hues
Quilter: Barbara Buck
Size: 93 x 109 inches (Queen or King Size)
Description: This quilt was pieced with coordinates from the Splendid Hues collection by Danhui Nai for Wilmington Prints. I was drawn to this fabric by the beautiful florals and the soft tones of dusty rose, pale green, and browns. This was my first attempt at mitered borders and it was truly a labor of love as there are 7 borders to match. The 110 prairie points surrounding the border compliment the quilt and give it an old-fashioned look. I backed the quilt with a small pink floral and quilted an all over Chantilly Lace pattern.
I will glady, at no additional charge, hand sew a personalized label to the back of any of my quilts.
Technique: Machine Pieced. Machine Quilted.
Fabrics: 100% Cotton
Batting: 100% Premium Quality Cotton
Care: Machine wash in cold water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar to set the colors. Subsequent laundering should be in cold water with a mild detergent. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. Complete care recommendations will be included with purchase.
