Description:
The “bouncing ball” border fabric was the inspiration for this quilt. I started it in a class teaching curved piecing where I did the pieced ball. Then I decided to add appliqué “balls” that were created using the decorative stitches on my machine. What fun I had creating and applying these balls! In addition to quilting along the curved lines of the quilt and around the balls, I then quilted in the bounces! The bright colors and happy motif of this quilt will delight young and old alike.
If you desire, a free, embroidered personalized label will be added to the back of the quilt with wording of your choice.

All fabrics are quilt shop quality 100% cotton.
Batting:
Warm & Natural 87% Cotton & 13% Polypropylene - Cool in summer and warm in winter.
Care: Machine washable and dryable on warm settings. All fabrics were prewashed prior to quilt construction. I recommend the use of a color catcher the first time you wash it.

This is a black-and-white, embroidered baby quilt with designs from the original illustrations from the Lewis Carroll book with 2 original designs. The designs are done in black, on a white background with a black polka-dot sashing. The back is a solid black fabric. Quilting is stitch-in-the-ditch so as to not detract from the designs. This quilt pops with color! Someone told me that red is the first color a baby will be drawn to, and there are reds, blues, and lime green eye-catching colors. I had created the quilt design with the idea of putting some applique figures in the larger blocks, but when I saw the "Cars, Trucks and Trains" fabric, I thought it would be a great focal fabric for a little boy's quilt! The cotton fabrics were pre-washed prior to creating the quilt to minimize shrinkage. I used flannel for the backing and extra-loft batting to give the quilt lots of snuggle factor. The binding is machine stitched to withstand many washings.
