Autumn Accents
Quilter: Midge Kincaid
Size: 51 x 51 inches (Lap/Throw, Wall, or Table Size)
Description: This versatile size quilt is notable for its detailed applique and blocks set on point. As a wall hanging it will enhance any room with its warm, charming colors. It can double as a table topper for a special luncheon. Because it's reversible, an entirely different table can be set by simply turning it over. The fine machine quilting of leaves and flowers blends beautifully. The binding is double-folded and hand-stitched down. All my quilts are made with love and care with the expectation they will hold up for many years of use and enjoyment.
The quilt is reversible and made in a smoke-free home. A personalized, machine-embroidered, quilt label will be furnished upon request at no charge. A hanging sleeve will also be furnished upon request at no charge.

Description: Beautifully hand-quilted with applique and embroidery details. Unique and intricate floral depictions fill 20 baskets. Border is cornflower blue. - This Basket pattern, as well as the blue/white combination, was a popular pattern during the 1930 - 1940 period. The maker could use her fancy to fill in the basket contents as is evidenced in the unique and intricate floral depictions that fill 20 baskets. The appliqued basket handles are probably indicative that she did not do a lot of appliqué but was good at piecing. - The quilt has been washed, but is in excellent/stable condition.

Log Cabin Barn Raising

Log Cabin Barn Raising
Quilter: Phyllis Schrag
Size: 42 x 53 inches (Baby, Crib, Child, or Wall Size)
Description: The fabric used in making this quilt was hand-dyed in pink and purple going through several dilutions. The dainty Log Cabin blocks form the Barn Raising pattern and provide gentle contrast from light to medium intensity. The hand quilting is exquisite and follows an outline of each fabric strip which forms the separate blocks. The borders feature the cable quilt design and meets perfectly in the corners. The bias binding makes excellent use of the hand-dyed fabric to make a bias stripe with mitered corners. All of these details work together making this a one-of-a-kind quilt.
A rod pocket is sewn into the top, back binding for ease in hanging. - At the time of purchase, I will enclose a gift card with an envelope detailing how to document, preserve, and care for your quilt. The back of the card features a quilt blessing printed inside a scroll. There is a place at the top of the scroll on which you can write the name of the receiver if you intend it as a gift.
