I LOVE TO QUILT. I always do hand quilting and my favorite quilts are hand appliquéd. I have been quilting for over 25 years and have won several ribbons. I originally sewed clothing, then crocheted, knitted, did counted cross stitch and finally quilting. When I discovered quilting, it became my all time favorite and I stopped all the other needle crafts. I am drawn to antique quilts and enjoy reproducing them or buying antique tops to quilt, but I also enjoy other styles as well. My most wonderful time quilting involved completing a fan quilt my mother made when she was 19 (she will soon be 90) and surprising her with it on Christmas. I have been a legal secretary for 30 years and am eagerly looking forward to retirement soon so I can quilt full time and enjoy life with my husband.

My wife loved the amazing quilt. Surrounded by Stars, and how it brightened up the entire room. It was her favorite Christmas present! Thanks for the great gift - Mike McKean, Silverdale, WA

Greg LOVES the Spinners quilt!! When I asked what his favorite gift was he answered the quilt with zero hesitation (which I did not expect as he also received tools and some electronics). I really do wish that I had the talent that it takes to create something like that!!! - C. Donnelly, Boise, Idaho

American Eagle

American Eagle
Size: 23 x 37 inches (Wall Size)
Description: This wall hanging was made from a fabric panel specifically designed for Quilts of Valor. I have previously made and donated two large lap quilts to the Quilts of Valor for our wounded military personnel. This is a patriotic wall hanging for your home or office and a salute to a family member or anyone having served our country - or for yourself simply to say you are proud to be an American. With the American eagle, our flag, the banner and red, white and blue blocks, it is a constant reminder of the freedoms we enjoy.
This quilt was made in a pet-free, smoke-free home. I will be happy to add a hanging sleeve to the quilt at your request. However, I usually hang mine by placing a small straight pin in each corner. When the pins are pushed completely into the drywall, they are not noticeable and you have very small holes in your wall.
Technique: I quilted this by hand. The double-fold binding is machine-sewn on the front and hand-sewn to the back.
Fabrics: 100% cotton purchased at a quilt shop.
Batting: 100% Polyester
Care: An occasional dusting or spin in the dryer on air only should be sufficient. If you wish to wash it, use mild detergent and wash by hand or on the gentle cycle in your washer. Partially dry in dryer on air only, and then lay flat for final drying.
Price: $ 247.50 U.S. + Shipping & Insurance

Leaves
Size: 28 x 40 inches (Wall Size)
Description: Botanical quilt with unusual colors. When I saw this pattern I thought it was simple but striking and elegant. I used white thread to quilt around each leaf and stem and red thread to quilt in the border. The backing is black on white to coordinate with the fabrics on the front. The leaves and stems are appliqued by hand and the blocks and border are machine pieced. I hand quilted it and the double-fold binding is sewn on the front by machine and sewn to the back by hand.
I will be happy to add a sleeve for hanging if you request one. However, I usually hang a small wall hanging by placing short straight pins in each corner. When the pins are pushed completely into the drywall they are not noticeable on the front. This allows the quilt to hang flat on the wall and you have very small holes in your wall. - Made in a pet free, smoke free home. - I will be happy to make the same quilt in different colors at your request.
Technique:
Fabrics: 100% Cotton from Quilt Shops
Batting: 100% Polyester
Care: An occasional dusting or toss in the dryer on air should be sufficient. If washing is desired, use a mild detergent and wash either by hand or gentle cycle in washer. Dry in dryer on air only for partial drying and then lay flat for final drying.
