My Grandmother first introduced me to quilting when I was about 5 years old and she lit a fire that has burned brighter with each passing year since. Though my early projects used patterns, I find I seldom use them anymore as it is much more fun to create as I go along. I've also done needle turn applique for over 40 years and piecing for better than 20 years now. Like I'm sure so many other quilters' husbands feel, my husband is sure my “Stash” has to rival that of many smaller stores. Through of all this I must admit that teaching the art of quilting is probably the most rewarding thing I do. I regularly give classes at a local vendors mall and do 'In-Home' teaching to those referred to me by other former students. I can easily say that quilting is not a 'hobby' for me ... it has become a life-long passion of mine. I only use quiltshop quality 100% Cotton fabric in all my quilts and wallhangings,etc. Most of my larger quilts are now quilted by a longarm quilter in Osawatomie, Kansas who does a fabulous job of enhancing all my quilts.
